Reimagining Mentorship in Education
What does it mean to be a “mentor”? Mr. Webster may define it as “an experienced and trusted adviser,” are you convinced his definition has been actualized in the field of education. Many mentors are, by definition, “experienced,” it does not necessarily mean they are experienced in the realm of mentoring. Frequently mentors have been experienced teachers or administrators but have never received the training and insight necessary to support emerging educators or leaders.
